Refund & Payment Policy (B2B Standard)
1. Performance-Based Refund Guarantee
We stand by our results. If your business does not appear in the Top 3 Google Map results for the agreed-upon keywords within the 90-day optimization period, you are entitled to a refund of the service fee.
- The 5% Administrative Retainer: All refunds are issued minus a 5% non-refundable fee. This covers non-recoverable third-party transaction fees (GoCardless/Shopify) and the initial administrative costs of account onboarding and technical setup.
2. Payment Method: Direct Debit (GoCardless)
To ensure service continuity and the lowest possible transaction overhead, we collect payments via Direct Debit.
- The Mandate: By completing checkout, you authorize a Direct Debit mandate.
- Advance Notice: You will receive an automated email notification 3 days prior to any funds being withdrawn from your account.
3. Immediate Service Commencement (No Cooling-Off)
As this is a Business-to-Business (B2B) contract for professional SEO services, statutory consumer cooling-off periods do not apply.
- Immediate Action: To meet our 90-day ranking promise, technical work begins immediately upon mandate authorization.
- Cancellation: Once the Direct Debit mandate is authorized and technical work has commenced, the initial payment is non-refundable except under the terms of the Performance-Based Refund Guarantee (Section 1).

Terms & Conditions (B2B Standard)
1. Scope of Service & Authorization
- B2B Declaration: This service is provided strictly as a Business-to-Business (B2B) contract. By engaging our services, you confirm you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft, or profession. Statutory consumer cooling-off periods do not apply.
- Consent-First Operations: We operate strictly on a "Consent-First" basis. No changes will be made to your Google Business Profile (GBP) or Website Back-end without prior written approval (via email or messaging).
- Service Limits: Services are strictly limited to SEO optimizations within the GBP, website back-end content, and local citation building. We do not manage domain registration, hosting environments, or core website functionality unless specifically itemized and approved in writing.
- Data Usage: We do not sell client data. Your business information is used solely to build third-party citations and directory listings to enhance your local credibility.
2. Responsibility & Liability
- Third-Party & Client Actions: We are responsible only for the specific optimizations we implement. We are not liable for any ranking drops, suspensions, or "manual actions" resulting from modifications made to the GBP or Website by the client or any third party.
- Evidence-Based Liability: Responsibility for errors will only be accepted if the damage is clearly evidenced to be a direct result of our specific operations.
- Exclusion of Consequential Damages: SEO is subject to external algorithmic shifts beyond any provider's control. We are not responsible for business outcomes, including but not limited to: fluctuations in traffic, changes in profit margins, or customer complaints during the optimization period.
- Direct Debit Guarantee: In the event of a payment dispute, the Direct Debit Guarantee protects you against unauthorized errors. However, this Guarantee does not override the underlying B2B service contract. If a payment is reversed via the bank but the service was delivered as described, the fee remains a legally enforceable debt.
3. The "Top 3" Performance Promise
- The Goal: The objective is to place your business within the Top 3 Organic Google Map Results (excluding "Sponsored" placements) for the agreed-upon keywords within the local service area.
- Performance Refund: If this goal is not met within 90 days, you are entitled to a refund of the service fee, minus a 5% non-refundable administrative retainer. This retainer covers non-recoverable third-party transaction fees and initial account onboarding costs.
- Fixed Pricing: The service fee is fixed regardless of whether the business ranks in position 1, 2, or 3 within the Map Pack.
- Progress Reporting: We provide a status update every Friday (where possible) detailing the technical progress made during the week.

- Service Limits: Expertise is strictly limited to SEO, back-end content, and local citations. We do not manage hosting, servers, or core code unless specifically agreed in writing.
- Data Usage: Business data is used solely for public citations and directory listings. We do not sell client data.
3. Performance & Liability
- The "Top 3" Promise: The objective is to place your business within the Top 3 Organic Google Map Results for agreed keywords.
- Liability Limitation: We are responsible only for changes we implement. We are not liable for ranking drops or "manual actions" caused by modifications made by the client or third parties.
- Consequential Damages: SEO is subject to external algorithmic shifts. To the extent permitted by UK law, total liability is capped at the service fee paid. We are not liable for lost profits or traffic fluctuations during the 90-day period.
4. Payment & Refund Policy
- Payment Method: Payments are collected via Direct Debit (Stripe). This ensures the lowest possible transaction fees and continuity of service.
- Advance Notice: You will receive a notification 3 days prior to any funds being withdrawn.
- Performance Refund: If the "Top 3" goal is not met within 90 days, you are entitled to a refund of the service fee, minus a 5% non-refundable administrative retainer. This retainer covers non-recoverable third-party transaction fees and on-boarding costs.
- Revocation of Work: If a refund is issued, all proprietary SEO optimizations and content created may be reverted or removed.
5. Privacy & Data Security
- Collection: We collect contact data and business assets (GBP/Website credentials) solely for service delivery.
- Security: We use encrypted protocols and secure password management. Credentials are removed/returned upon contract termination.
- Rights: You may access, correct, or request the deletion of your data at any time.
6. Complaints & Resolution
- Process: Direct any concerns to badr@uklocalseo.co.uk with the subject "Formal Complaint." We acknowledge messages within 48 hours and aim for resolution within 14 days.
- Escalation: Data-related issues may be escalated to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
